Surgery for hemorrhoids is usually done whenever other medications or treatment do not work anymore. This kind of surgery is done for the worst level or stadium of the disease that someone has. Usually hemorrhoids which are in the worst stadium cannot be treated with any kind of medication instead of surgery which is aimed at lifting up the swallowed rectum in the anus area. Usually the rectum swallowing is already big and is accompanied with severe pain and bleeding whenever the person is having number two. In this phase, having any diet, good hygiene, and other medications would be likely quite hard to treat this disease. Therefore, surgery needs to be done right away before it gets worse and worse. This is due to the fact that the big swallowing rectum stops the stool to come out smoothly and the irritated wall of the anus makes it even painful for the person to take out the stool. Commonly the stool becomes hard which eventually makes it worse. This causes the bleeding while having the stool out. Therefore, the swallowed rectum should be taken out immediately through surgery for hemorrhoids so that it does not block the stool from coming out.

There are certain types for surgery for hemorrhoids. The first type is hemmorrhoidectomy. This kind of surgery is to cut down the hemorrhoids which are usually done by special doctor. The person who undergoes this surgery should follow the required procedures. They will be given local anesthesia which the patient will feel numb on the area to be operated. They can also have general anesthesia where they will be made into sleep during the surgery process. As this is considered as small surgery, the patient usually will be allowed to go back home after the surgery and they will be given suggestions by the doctors about things they should and should not do to speed up the healing process. This surgery is to lift out the pain, bleeding, itching, and also swelling on the anus area so that the patients will be able to do their number two well and comfortably. Other surgery is PPH surgery. The advantage of having this kind of surgery is that the pain will be quite less as it done with anesthesia so the patient will not feel anything. The second thing is that this surgery is considered as the fastest way of treating the hemorrhoids with quick recovery. The patient will not have any bleeding and itching anymore and they can benefit from having fewer complication. Some people can also take laser for surgery for hemorrhoids which is can be done quite easily and practically.

The Risks of Having Surgery for Hemorrhoids

The risks may include infection, bleeding, and anesthesia reaction. Some people might also have difficulty with urinating. This is because the person is suffered from the pain post to surgery so that they find it hard to relax while having urinating. The worst thing that might happens post to surgery is the damage towards anal sphincter that will feel a lot painful. This is a condition that someone is unable to control their bowel movement that causes involuntary in releasing stools and gases post to surgery for hemorrhoids.
